The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into focused intervals β traditionally 25 minutes β separated by short breaks. After completing a set of intervals (typically four), you take a longer break to recharge.
Our free online Pomodoro timer makes it easy to practice this technique with customizable durations, automatic session transitions, pleasant sound notifications, and detailed productivity statistics. Everything runs in your browser β no account needed, no data sent to any server.
Choose your focus time, short break, and long break durations in Settings. Use a quick preset like Classic (25/5/15) or Deep Work (50/10/30) to get started instantly.
Press the play button or hit Space to start your focus session. The circular progress ring shows your remaining time at a glance. Minimize distractions and focus on your task.
When the timer ends, a chime plays and you transition to a break. Short breaks refresh you between sessions; a long break comes after completing your session cycle. Enable auto-start for hands-free transitions.
View your session count, total focus time, and completion rate in the Stats panel. The session dots below the timer show your progress toward the next long break.
Set focus, short break, and long break times to match your style. Use built-in presets or create your own schedule.
Pleasant chime notifications when sessions end, with adjustable volume. No external audio files needed β generated in-browser.
Track completed sessions, total focus time, break time, and completion rate. Review your session history with timestamps.
Optionally auto-start breaks and focus sessions for a fully hands-free Pomodoro experience.
Space to start/pause, R to reset, S to skip. Control the timer without leaving your keyboard.
