Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method where you work in focused intervals (typically 25 minutes) separated by short breaks (5 minutes). After four intervals, you take a longer break (15-30 minutes). This cycle helps maintain concentration and prevents burnout.
Can I customize the timer durations?
Yes! You can set focus duration (1-120 minutes), short break (1-60 minutes), long break (1-60 minutes), and sessions before a long break (2-10). Quick presets are also available for popular configurations.
Does the timer work in the background?
Yes. The timer continues running when you switch tabs. The page title updates with remaining time so you can see it in your tab bar. Enable browser notifications to get alerted when sessions end.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?
Press Space to start/pause the timer, R to reset the current session, and S to skip to the next session. Shortcuts work when no input field is focused.
Is my data saved?
Session statistics are stored in memory during your browser session. Refreshing the page resets statistics. No data is sent to any server β€” everything runs locally in your browser.
