- What EXIF fields does this tool compare?
- The tool shows file name, file size, width, height, aspect ratio, format (JPG/PNG/WebP/etc.), DPI, color space, date taken, camera make, camera model, ISO, aperture (f-number), shutter speed, focal length, and GPS presence — 16 columns in total.
- How many images can I compare at once?
- There is no hard limit. You can load as many images as you like. Each image is processed in parallel in your browser so the table fills in quickly even for large batches.
- Why do most fields show "—" for my images?
- EXIF data is only embedded by cameras and some editing apps. Images generated by AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.), screenshots, or images that have had metadata stripped will show "—" for camera fields. File size, dimensions, aspect ratio, and format are always shown regardless.
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything runs in your browser using the Canvas API and the exifr library. No image data ever leaves your device, making this tool safe for private, sensitive, or confidential photos.
- What does the amber highlight mean?
- Any column where at least two images have different values is highlighted in amber across all rows. This makes it instantly obvious which properties differ without manually scanning the table.
- Can I export the comparison results?
- Yes. Click the "Export CSV" button to download a spreadsheet with all 16 columns for every loaded image. The CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app.
- Which image formats are supported?
- JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, and AVIF. HEIC/HEIF (iPhone photos) and TIFF files are supported for metadata reading, though browser preview support varies.
