A PDF inventory with the failures left visible.

See the input files, run the count and download the report. Then decide whether a recurring version would help your team.

This is a synthetic case study, not a client project. It demonstrates an output; it makes no claim about time saved, sales or customer results.

Synthetic demonstration

From four files to a report you can check.

The three valid PDFs contain 3, 5 and 2 pages. A fourth file is intentionally invalid so you can see how a failure is reported.

Run the sample to count three valid PDFs and report one deliberately damaged file.

Synthetic PDF inventory: filenames, physical page counts and processing status
FilePagesStatus
01-project-notes.pdf—Not counted yet
02-reference-pack.pdf—Not counted yet
03-checklist.pdf—Not counted yet
04-damaged-example.pdf—Not counted yet
Counted pages—Successful files only

This demonstration downloads public synthetic files and processes them in your browser. It does not access your folders, schedule a job or upload your documents.

The recurring task this could support

Imagine preparing a weekly handover of PDF documents. You need to know which files were counted, how many physical pages they contain and which files need attention. A report that silently skips a damaged file would leave the handover incomplete.

  1. Input: an agreed set of PDF files, with an explicit rule for folder order, subfolders and duplicate names.
  2. Processing: count each document independently. Preserve its place in the report and record a failure when it cannot be read.
  3. Output: a CSV with filename, byte size, page count, status and message. Sum successfully counted pages only.
  4. Review: resolve failed files and compare the report with agreed acceptance examples before relying on the workflow.

What a paid pilot would add

ScopeMotive can quote implementation for your agreed operating system, folder structure, report columns and acceptance tests, with setup instructions and documented limitations. Scheduling, deployment and support are agreed in the scope; this public demonstration does not provide them.

OCR, password recovery, document-content validation, cloud hosting and integrations require separate discussion. A page count is not proof that a document is complete, safe or compliant. No price or delivery date is promised before scoping.

For occasional batches, use the free PDF Page Counter. You can count your own files, retry failures and export a CSV there.

Describe your recurring document task

Use a general description or synthetic example. Include the batch size, frequency, operating system and expected report. Leave out confidential filenames and documents.

Prepare your enquiry

These fields prepare text in this tab. Copy it, then paste it into ScopeMotive’s contact form to send your enquiry. This page does not submit or save your brief.

For example: prepare a weekly PDF inventory.

Operating system, folder structure and approximate batch size.

Report columns, totals and how you will check the result.

A rough range is enough; leave out confidential details.
